Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Roadbook (roadbook.us), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Roadbook is a registered trade name of Zentered Studios LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Colorado, USA. References to "Roadbook", "we", "us", or "our" in these terms refer to Zentered Studios LLC.

2. What Roadbook is

Roadbook is a road trip planning tool that helps you organize itineraries, discover national parks and campgrounds, and collaborate with travel companions. Roadbook is not affiliated with any national park, campground operator, hotel, or booking service.

Campground availability information is sourced from Recreation.gov and is provided as-is. Always verify reservations and availability directly with Recreation.gov or the venue before making travel decisions.

3. Your account

You sign in using a Bluesky account via AT Protocol. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Keep your Bluesky credentials secure - Roadbook never has access to your Bluesky password.

Premium accounts may connect an external AI assistant (for example Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google) to Roadbook via our Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration. That connection is user-initiated: the assistant reads and writes your trip and journal content using your own access token, and Roadbook does not send your data to any AI assistant provider on its own. You are responsible for the assistant you choose to connect and for how its provider handles the data it reads.

4. Subscriptions

Roadbook has a free plan and a paid plan called Premium. The price and the billing interval are shown on the billing page before you buy. They are the ones in effect when you subscribe. Existing subscribers keep their base price.

Premium renews automatically at the end of each billing interval until you cancel. You cancel in the Stripe customer portal, which you open with Manage subscription on the billing page. You can cancel at any time. You keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for. Account deletion ends access immediately; our refund policy below still applies.

Stripe processes the payment. You enter your card on Stripe's checkout page and no card data reaches Roadbook.

You can request a refund within 14 days after any charge. Contact hello@roadbook.us to request one.

Premium is billed at the price shown on the billing page, plus applicable tax. Where we are registered to collect sales tax, Stripe calculates it from your billing address and adds it at checkout and on each renewal. You see the tax amount before you confirm checkout.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the trip data, notes, comments, and other content you create on Roadbook. By making a trip public or sharing it by link, you grant Roadbook a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content to other users of the service.

You must not post content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringes the rights of others.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from Roadbook through automated means without permission.
• Attempt to access another user's private trips or account data.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.

7. AI-generated content

Place, stop, and trip summaries are generated by AI (Google Gemma (via Cloudflare Workers AI)). Premium trip owners can also ask AI to draft a trip journal from their own notes. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Always verify important information - park hours, entrance fees, trail conditions, permit requirements - from official sources before your trip.

8. Third-party data

Roadbook surfaces data from the National Park Service, Recreation.gov, Unsplash, Mapbox, and the other providers listed in the Privacy Policy. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or availability of that data. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices.

9. No warranties

Roadbook is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, accuracy of drive-time estimates, or campground availability data.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Roadbook shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service - including but not limited to missed campground reservations, road closures, inaccurate AI summaries, or decisions made based on information displayed in the app.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or your use of Roadbook shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a revised effective date. Continued use of Roadbook after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
